Abstract:
The presentation is an overview of how to utilize tactile and visual communication for clients that are developmentally delayed in verbal expression and auditory reception. The training lists different tactile activities to increase stimulation, such as: finger painting, playing with squishy, moveable, or different textured toys, and being in the outdoors, and visual activities that include illustrations, visual schedules, PECS, and “I Spy” games.
